super deluxe Bento #4
A new bento passion?

So I got two MORE bentos this week. It really is quite amazing. An English teacher that's working with me will be taking a little vacation and because I'll be covering for her a few days, she noticed my obsession over the bentos that I received and she made me one of her own. The first day she made me a bento, it came in a Ziploc disposable container, which was fine because it was YUMMY. Amazingly even though it was vegetarian, it was SO good. Then that day I showed her my webpage and my blog about Yumi's bento, and she freaked out that I was going to put a picture of her Ziploc bento on the web for the world to see. So the next day I got the super duper deluxe version of her bento! The super deluxe came in a proper box complete with soup AND desert!! How's that  for a extortion? (^_^).

I think you can really see someone's personality in the types of bento that they make. Mayumi (English teacher) for example is VERY picky about the things that she eats.  Everythings gotta be organic. So in her bentos I noticed that there was a lot of ingredients in everything. Way down to the rice.  It's so complicated (similar to her personality!) that I can't even explain what I ate. Regardless. It tasted great. How great? I didn't even care that it was vegetarian. Now that says alot.

Why a picture of each bento I receive? Well I just think it's SO nice when people make you a lunch. Isn't that reason enough?

I've definitely got that starving kid kind of aura at school. I'm glad that many Japanese people are so charitable!(^_^)

i'm in love with the bentos, and i was looking to purchase a few different boxes on jlist.com. one of them was that blue one with the dragonflies. ^______^

the fact that someone puts so much effort into making food for another person just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. i love creating good feelings with food, so it makes sense that bento's were the way to go.

here's to more bento's in your future. hee hee

Oh... and are you celebrating thanksgiving while in japan?

Funny thing is she bought that dragonfly bento box to redeem herself for the Ziploc box earlier.

I hope it wasn't expensive on Jlist because she bought the box at a 100 yen shop!

oh damn, you are a super stud teacher. Tell me the secrets master. The teachers at my school didn't even invite me to the thanksgiving, teacher excursion to Ibaraki--the bastards.
