Hanami 2006

The hanami spot for me this year was at Yoyogi Park. I guess this was the first year that I've really had a real alcoholic Hanami. Sake, vodka, and cans and cans of beer, it was great! Shish did a great job finding a prime spot smack in the middle of the area with the most sakura trees. And amazingly he had prepared a enough space almost 40 of us! There was even someone famous doing interviews at one of my other friend's Hanami. Apparently Tom Williams is on the Aussie show, Great Outdoors. Most interestingly for me was the amount of activity after the sun set. People set up little DJ stations here and there and people had a great time going from place to place, dancing and drinking the night away. Fun!

Ahh-fun times!! Great snaps as always. My first visit to Japan was at the very beginning of cherry blossom season. I enjoyed every second of it.

And it's always great when there's no hangover the next day!

Oh, I thought to put it "aside" for a while because I wasn't writing in it as often as I was used to. I always felt it was like a tamagochi and felt too sad to keep it open without any life...it's still alive though hidden ^_^"
