Missing in Action

Drunk at the new Lexington Queen The last two months.
What have I been doing? A lot and nothing at the same time.To be more accurate, a lot of going out, drinking and dating which ultimately adds up to nothing in terms of fruitful productivity.
See what I need to do is get my life in order:
Step 1: Get a real job.
a.) Pass my Japanese proficiency test.
b.) Pass my A+ examinations.
Step 2: Start a life with stability.
a.) Get married and have 2.1 kids
b.) Get a house complete with white picket fence in the middle of perfect suburbia.
Instead what I have been doing is:
Stay up weekends, all night drinking and clubbing.
Dating all the wrong people. Way too many.
Play meaningless Facebook games.
Its all falling apart. What to do. How to get motivated? I think I'll start with a little bit of blogging again. The way I see it, blogging will help me keep track of what I do. Make the things I do accountable, instead of it all flying by in one hazy blur. So to those of you still interested, stick around and read some more. I ain't dead yet.

Roy: CompTIA A+ Certification
The JLPT sure makes it easier though.
Lori: Balance. That's always been the holy grail for me. I'm surprised your Facebook blew up like that. I never thought you'd get into it so much from the beginning. Me I like my Friend Wheel app the most. For some reason it's kinda interesting to look at.
What's an A+ Examination?
BTW, you don't need to pass the JPLT to get a "real job". You only need desire and commitment. Some well connected friends help too.
Rick! Good to see you! Don't be so hard on yourself.;) It's all about balance right? Some fun, some focus, some fun, some focus...I've pared down my Facebook time. The love is gone.;)
Finding a real job also requires a lot of good luck also.
you need to find a real job, so you have to study Japanese and other stuff.
I think if you find a new job, you might get a girl friend.
ganbatte!!!!
Doood, awesome picture. haha. I know how you feel. 31, been in Japan for 2.7 years, and still suck at the j-go. What's up with that? I should probably enroll in a school or something.
Sounds like you're living the good life. The only thing that I can see you doing wrong in the last two months is facebook games. no sked. if can can, if no can no can. Not your fault.
Good to read that you're still alive:D
The real mature gentleman knows how to have fun in life.
人生楽しむのも大切。まわりの皆が笑顔でいてくれれば幸せだよね。
Good luck for your JLPT and all, Rick!
Yes yes, I guess I better step in and help out with your life a little ;) I'll let you know how a bit later :)
Balance Ricky. Something you kept babbling to me about. Hmm... and I guess it makes sense, blogging does sortta help. I'll be looking forward to spam and comment on your blog more when I disappear in a week or so.
I know you are not dead, just not updating your blogs, I have been around snapping pictures of you ;)
I like that picture too. It has a 'clubbing' feel to it aye?
You can lose a lot of money chasing women, but you'll never lose women chasing money. :)
"You can lose a lot of money chasing women, but you'll never lose women chasing money. :)"
Wise words.
Don't believe the hype. Living that life has a downside. My mortgage is going to be the end of me.
Ricky! Man, crazy seeing you out last weekend! Didn't know you were Aki's friend and I'd bump into you a year after snowboarding! Crazy small world! Omg..I hear everything you are saying in this post. I had a "switch" pulled on me and now I'm worried about all the same things!
no such thing as a meaningless game! ;) coming from a gamer perspective. Stay motivated.
